Secluded 17th Centuary Inn within easy reach of Peterborough, Stamford, Melton Mowbray, Uppingham and Oakham and only 2 miles from Rutland Water. Whether a businessman or leisure guest you will not cease to amaze at our award winning cuisine from bar meals to fine dining. Start with a real ale from the bar then enjoy local, seasonal food with a glass of wine from our extensive list, perhaps with a double espresso and Grappa to finish, followed by a peaceful nights sleep in a comfortable spacious room.
The Inn dates back to 1649 and offers all the charm and character of a Traditional Country Inn. Our ensuite rooms are clean, spacious and fully equipped.
We also offer a large off-road free car park suitable for the parking of small boat trailers, horseboxes and motorised caravans. Our restaurant may be booked for corporate lunches, dinner parties and small wedding receptions.
Alternatively you may wish to book our private Lyndon Suite, a separate unit offering dining for up to 24 covers is the ideal venue for any small party, anniversaries etc. We have also been awarded 4 Stars for our accommodation, our second AA Rosette and the AA Breakfast Award for 2010.
Please note: The Bar & Restaurant are closed from after Sunday Lunch and all day Monday during the winter months (Oct - Mar) and from after Sunday Lunch to Monday Evenings during the rest of the year. Our B&B Service is available all year 24/7 except Christmas Day and Boxing Day when a Room Only service is in force.
